Nightmare of Ashihama Overview

Old School RuneScape's Nightmare of Ashihama is live and here's what to expect.

.

The Nightmare of Ashihama is an interesting boss with quite a several unique mechanics. First of all, the Nightmare focuses attacks on those who have the best melee defense, so it might make sense for your team to assign an individual tank. Nightmare also attacks with all three combat styles using prayer. However, prayers of protection do lessen some of the damage.

The Nightmare of Ashihama is a part of Morytania expansion. It can provide huge rewards for adventurers willing to face this mysterious risk...

New Group Boss

The creature known simply as the nightmare came from the far island called Ashihama. It was plaguing the local inhabitants as well as the sirens for a long time until finally, a brave leader who was a siren Shura decided to take it upon her to unite others sirens and rid them of this evil once and for all.

However, the nightmare escaped and was drawn to Slepe, Morytania. Though it isn't native to the swamps of this area, the creature made itself at its home in a town which was suffering from the sleeper plague.

Nightmare Loot

Residents of Gielinor who are brave enough to stand against this vile creature will not only earn the respect of Morytanians and receive new rewards. The mere act of gratitude won't protect you from the crushing hits of your enemies. But the Inquisitor's armor will.

This boss drops one of the highest priced OSRS items, so it's an extremely popular choice for gold traders and those searching to get a piece of that jackpot, after all, it's possible to earn over 500dollars by selling runescape gold by just acquiring an expensive item , like this one.

The requirements are: 70% Strength 30 Defense

We can clearly see that this armor will not be the new best-in-slot defensive equipment. Its defense bonus is comparable with obsidian armor, if they are not worse. But the crush bonus is quite powerful and the set of armor can fill in the gaps for certain characters. Furthermore, combining the armor set with the latest Inquisitor's Mace can produce devastating results when fighting monsters that are susceptible to crushing attacks.

Requirements: 75 Attack

The Inquisitor's mace is an identical twin-brother with crush to Ghrazi rapier, thus making it a most effective crush weapon. The new mace is only one-handed, you can wield a defender in an off-hand slot.

If you're reading this and are a magic user there are some treats for you too. We haven't forgotten about you. Along with brave knights, magicians will also be receiving new magic weapons, with specific abilities (there aren't many of them to be found in games!)

Requirements Minimum: 65 Magic,50 Hitpoints

The team of nightmares can be further enhanced with some of the 3 orbs which will increase the staff's bonusesand increase the Magic Level to 75. The three kinds of staves are:

Harmonised nightmare staff

Eldrich nightmare staff

Staff with nightmare-like rage

The bonuses associated with these have been changing throughout the beta.

These information are meant to be used as a reference for how the improved staves will function. This could be subject to further changes , and we'll start hearing the exact numbers once we have the Nightmare release, and perhaps then Jagex might decide to change bonuses as patches come out.

The final reward from Nightmare is the Siren's Tome. Nightmare will be the Lady's Tome.

This item was in the spotlight and much controversy surrounded it. The idea was to make it the best off-hand product for players who are wizards, the item was quickly reduced in value. Although it was able to pass the poll despite all the controversy, on December 12th Jagex declared that they would not be introducing Siren's Tome into the game altogether.

This means the Arcane Spirit Shield will remain the uncrowned king of magic's off-hand slot at the very least, for now.

The changes are exciting , and we can't wait to see players using the new equipment and how it will affect the game. The changes, however, could at times be quite overwhelming. One thing that stays constant is the requirement of OSRS gold.

They can be traded and if you're not able to meet with the boss yourself the addition of coins will enable you to keep your edge.

Getting What You Deserve

From the attacks we've dissected, Nightmare has three phases. In the first, she is able to perform the normal attacks . She also has a shield, which must be destroyed to get to Phase 2. For Phase 2 and up to 3you have to eliminate the pillars and the sleepwalkers.

After you've defeated The Nightmare, aside from OSRS gold, you'll also be receiving hefty rewards when you take out a certain amount harm to the. For the MVP, he or she will get an individual reward. Finally, every person who has made a significant contributions will be awarded the pet, jar, as well as scroll drops.

The most likely drops are The Inquisitor's Armor and Mace, in addition to the Nightmare Staff, which you can add orbs (Harmonious Eldritch, Harmonious and Volatile) on to grant it special bonuses.

So that's pretty much all you'll need to know to end The Nightmare. Now, what are doing? Visit Slepe and let that desire to take down that raid boss a reality!
